FATCA · CRS · IRS 1099 reporting
Novus turns raw account data into validated, regulator-ready FATCA and CRS filings in our encrypted cloud today, with IRS 1099 prepared by our team. In 2027, an on-device edition brings AI validation that never leaves your machine.
Where your data lives
You choose
Managed, encrypted, ready for teams.
Your workstation. Your keys. Your data.
No network. No exceptions.
01Architecture
Every record passes a deterministic parser you can audit line by line, then is sealed so that only one party can ever open it: the regulator. From 2027, a second engine reviews what rules can’t, without your data leaving the machine.
Excel or CSV from your systems, uploaded over TLS 1.3. Sensitive fields are encrypted the moment they are stored.
Input, business-rule and XSD checks. The same input produces the same result, every time.
An on-device model reviews every record for anomalies the rules can’t express.
AES-256-CBC payload, RSA-wrapped key, RSA-SHA256 signature. Readable by one party only: the regulator.

AES-256-CBC
Every filing package is encrypted in CBC mode with a fresh 256-bit key and a random IV. No key is ever used twice.
Key wrap
RSA
The key and IV are wrapped with the regulator’s RSA public key. Only the regulator can unwrap them.
Signature
RSA-SHA256
Signed with your sender certificate, so the regulator can verify it came from you, unaltered.
At rest
0 plaintext
TINs, names, addresses, account numbers and balances are encrypted with per-customer 256-bit keys before they’re written.
02Frameworks
FATCA, CRS and IRS 1099 each bring their own schemas, portals and failure modes. Novus runs them through the same workflow: load your data, validate it, seal it, ready to file.
01 / Model 1 · Model 2 · IRS IDES
Navigate Model 1 and Model 2 without the IDES rejections.
Model 1 filings go to your local authority; Model 2 goes straight to the IRS through IDES. Novus validates against the right XSD and business rules first, catching the errors behind IDES alert codes before the IRS sees them.
02 / OECD schema v3.0 · CRS 2.0 amendments
One dataset. Every partner jurisdiction. No re-keying.
Upload one file with accounts for every jurisdiction. Novus sorts it and generates a correctly formatted XML for each tax authority.
03 / IRIS · FIRE transition
FIRE is retiring. Move to IRIS without the rebuild.
From 1 January 2027, Forms 1099 go through IRIS. Our team prepares IRIS-ready files with you today; self-serve generation arrives with Novus Desktop in 2027.

03Workflow
Four steps, one screen. No XML programming, no manual encryption, no guessing at IDES file names.
01 .xlsx
Fill in the Novus Excel template and drop it in. It’s read in your browser and uploaded over TLS 1.3. No XML skills required.
02 .xlsx
Every record is checked against input rules, regulator business rules and the official XSD. Each issue is flagged with a plain-language reason, so you fix it before anything is generated.
On Desktop, an on-device model adds a second review. Local AI · early access 2027
03 .xml
Novus writes the regulator’s XML for you: FATCA XML v2.0.1 for IDES, CRS XML v3.0, or the local variant your tax authority expects.
04 .zip
The XML is signed with your certificate and encrypted with AES-256-CBC; the key and IV are RSA-wrapped for the IRS. You get one IDES-ready .zip, named and structured to spec, to upload to the IDES gateway.
The Novus Standard
File FATCA and CRS from Novus Cloud today, validated before export and sealed for the regulator, with IRS 1099 files prepared by our team. Novus Desktop, with AI validation that never leaves your machine, opens for early access in 2027.
